ENGLISH HISTORICAL VERSION

This document applies to all electrical interfaces between Powertrainand Platform systems andcomponents. It does not apply to electrical interfaces withinPowertrain or within Platformsystems, even though these signals may be routed through a Platformwiring harness. Wiringharnesses, normally a Platform responsibility, are not consideredinterface components for thisdocument. Connector definition and pin assignments are also outsidethe scope of this document.

All GM Powertrain Groups must meet the requirements in this documentthat apply to "Powertrain".All GM Platforms must meet the requirements in this document thatapply to "Platform".

Electromagnetic Compatibility requirements apply to systems andcomponents and do not directlyapply to the interface level. They are therefore beyond the scope ofthis document. Refer toGMW3097GS General Specification for Electrical/Electronic Componentsand Subsystems,Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Requirements.
