GMW GMW14069 Migration - Bleeding Resistance and Contact Stain Compatibility of PVC with other Materials

This standard describes two methods, bleeding resistance and contactstain, to determine thecompatibility of PVC with other materials (migration).
Method A - Bleeding Resistance.
This method is based on ISO 183 and describes a method for determiningcolor substances bleeding inplastic-coated fabric and plastic sheeting.
Bleeding means the migration which can occur from one coloredmaterial, e.g., a plastic sheeting,to another plastic sheeting or other material in contact with thecolored material.
Method B - Contact Stain.
This standard is based on, but deviates in several respects from, ISO105-E06 and outlines a methodof determining stains between PVC and leather.
Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable laws andregulations unless specificexemption has been obtained.
